The migration went through rather smoothly. I did a test first on running my blog on DreamHost first. I imported the DB and copied over my <a href="http://drupal.org">Drupal</a> installation. Everything worked fine. Then I updated my domain to point to Dreamhost's DNS servers and turned on my blogging site on DreamHost. I haven't experienced any problem. Their support is very responsive. Whenever I email about a question/issue, they respond within 30 minutes. </p> <p> But Netfirms has a $10 for one year <a href="http://www.netfirms.com/max">promotion</a> going on. It seems very attractive from a pricing point. Currently, I am paying site5 $6.95/month ($83.40/year) for 5gb space. I'll need to research more on Netfirms. </p> <p> Hosting on a virtual private server (eg. <a href="http://www.linode.com/products/linodes.cfm">Linode</a> has always been in my mind. But I don't think I really need it until I can free up my time and my mind to develop some interesting web applications to run on that kind of environment.
